The West Liberty-Salem High School, Middle School, and Elementary Student Councils sponsored a Hats Off for Cancer Day on Friday, October 17th.  Students throughout the building donated $1 to wear the hat of their choice throughout the day and raised $527.  All of the money raised will be sent to ‘Hats off for Cancer’; Hats Off For Cancer donates hats of all kinds to the courageous children who lose their hair due to treatments for pediatric cancer.  As one of the leading and original hat programs, Hats Off For Cancer has donated nearly 2,000,000 brand new hats to hospitals, camps, and individuals worldwide since 1996.

BIG changes are on the way!  Our building renovation project is scheduled to begin March of 2015.  A great deal of planning has been underway and should be completed by November.  A new page to the website will be coming soon dedicated to informing the WL-S community about the construction progress and impacts on school functions.  This will be an exciting and challenging time at WL-S.
